the strategy

arvato systems integrated and customized Oracle technology to create one core platform that could be customized for each country. Portals were launched and optimized in 8 countries (Germany, Switzerland, France, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, and Japan) in time for the 2000 holiday season. For Japan, we extended the code to include multi-byte technology, enabling the system to display Japanese kanji characters. We also created an XML solution that allows each application to be deployed on multiple mobile platforms.
