To create an online incubator for new artists and a consolidated database of talent for the music industry. This online presence is an extension of the current OneSource Entertainment (OSE) mortar business and would be called SourceCiti.com. OSE's mission has two parts: 1)to provide developmental services for emerging artists with the goal being to facilitate record, distribution, and licensing deals for the artists, 2)to assemble a selected talent pool for music industry professionals. OSE hired arvato systems to help them develop a plan for building this new site and to begin development of site functionality.

the strategy

arvato systems started by facilitating strategy sessions with OneSource Entertainment whereby discussing viable online business models, customer targets, pricing models, and the competitive outlook. This naturally led to requirements gathering sessions where the OneSource business owners defined the functionality the site should provide its customers. arvato systems developed a use case model to represent the site and prepared detailed functional documentation describing the activities the users would take on the site. The results from the strategy and the requirements gathering were taken and used to develop a Flash^TM presentation.

the results

The presentation not only included sample functionality from the future sourceciti.com site but also served as a marketing tool valuable in selling the concept of the site to future partners and users.
