arvato systems and Klopotek Sponsor Booth at BookExpo America (BEA) 2003 in Los Angeles

Last year, arvato systems and Klopotek announced a worldwide partnership. This year, both organizations implemented a US marketing campaign that included sponsoring a booth at BookExpo America 2003 in Los Angeles. Members of both Klopotek and arvato systems' teams managed the Klopotek booth. Attendance to the booth was both high in volume and in quality due to a direct mailing campaign before the event. The goal of developing the global Klopotek brand in publishing IT is being realized with efforts at events such as BEA.

Anthony Yi, arvato systems' Director of North American Sales states, "BEA is the premier publishing event in North America and we were proud to support Klopotek in expanding their strong brand to the US market. At BEA, the interest in enterprise technology was still very high despite the existing economic downturn. It is more important than ever for publishers to consider standard, enterprise platforms that will lower costs going forward."

BookExpo America is the only industry event where you can experience the entire scope of book publishing from the U.S. and the world - all in one place, all at one time. With more than 2,000 exhibits, 500 authors, over 100 conference sessions as well as a special area for rights business, people can see the latest titles across genres, network, and meet industry contacts.

"We are pleased that so many people attended BEA this year, though we are ever mindful of creating a productive atmosphere in which individual constituents may feel at home," notes Greg Topalian, Vice President and Show Manager for BEA.

Both arvato systems and Klopotek plan to be at BEA 2004 in Chicago.
